MY Block Project

Here it is, the blocks are 2in blocks, I painted them with Auntique white paint and used up alot of my older papers and stickers that were sitting around doing nothing. All the lettering was cut out on my favorite cutter ever the Pazzles Inspiration and then glittered, flocked or embossed. Most of the decorations were from other projects leftovers, so the whole project cost me maybe 10 dollars as I got the blocks at a garagesale but I cant imagine if you had to buy the wood that it would cost very much. Halloween
Ok heres the trick, just turn the blocks 1/4 of a turn and you have a decoration for the next holiday. Thanksgiving
 Christmas
and finaly New Years, all in one decoration, put it up in Oct. and dont take it down till mid Jan.
Ok let me know what you think, I am very happy with how it turned out and it will be around for many years.

It will be a home decoration for Halloween , Thanksgiving , Christmas and New Years all in one. The Idea has been rollong around in my head for about 5 yrs. starting when I bought the blocks at a garagesale 34 blocks for a dollar. So stay tuned for some hints. Oh yea the blocks are about 2 inch cubes.

Fall Decor

Ok so I love my new porch, when we moved into the new house I wasn't real sure how I was going to like the new house, it is smaller but mostly in the master bedroom and bath. As you all know I absolutly love the new craftroom but one unexpected thing I really love is the front porch, the porch at the other house was no bigger than the doorway so there was not really any room to decorate. The new porch is very big and what a joy to decorate and thanks to the dollar store and a few things I had already it looks great. I had totaly forgot that I always wanted a porch that I could decorate cute for Fall. This move has turned out to be a really good thing. Just wait till Christmas.

Yea, the Mojo is flowing!

While in the process of moving I found a couple of things that I decided to keep for the perpose of altering, now when I alter things i always forget to take before pictures and I really need to work on that and this time is no different so let me tell you what they are. The first one is an old watch box from an aniversary present my hubbie got me some years back, so I opened it and took all the display parts out leaving me with a very plain box in the inside the outside however was completely black except for the logo on the top so my base color was already there for me to decorate.

I used
  DCWV Black Currant stack
white ruffle trim I dyed black
  Turkey feathers for my neighbor
  several misc. flowers
  a stick pin I made
Galaxy white marker and a stencil

and some pearl trim and stick on pearls
And WA LA a very cute trinket box. When its closed it kinda looks like a cake.

Next I found an old wood tray I used to keep jewlery in so I painted it purple (ofcorse) and added some paper from DCWV's Chateau Lavender stack and 2 coats of modpoge and now a tray for my craftroom table that matches the paint color.

I'm almost ready to film my craftroom, the table tops are in place and alittle straightning up and I'm good to go so be on the watch!

Crazy

ok its been a crazy 4 months, we are officialy moved and mostly setteled in, the craftroom is finished except for my table top which i had a garage sale to fund and did make enought money however I really felt I should be buying food for the house instead as my hubbie does work so hard. So that will come soon enough. Baseball is finaly over and school is out so I figured things would get easier right "no" Now we half to deal with the other house and thats more stressfull than buying the new house and moving, so that being said my creative mojo has gone on hiatus. And now high school starts in 2 and a half weeks for my youngest you would think having gone through that twice already i would be ready for it well again"no". I want to say to all of my followers please bare with me I'm sure I will be back to normal as soon as everything calms down. PS I'm still hopin to get a video of the craftroom soon. I just need the house quiet.

Pin Cushion

OK I've needed a pin cushion for a while now and knew I wanted to make one but never found any ideas I was thrilled with untill... luvleescrappin did a tutorial for a victorian pin cushion and you can find her tutorial here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vBkBKSelQg&feature=plcp&context=C4b0a38aVDvjVQa1PpcFN-o256Ud98xyyFmvivaDt6xtWIQSSYStQ= I love love love it, so I made one for me and I am so happy with how it turned out and it was so easy. So here it is and yes in my favorite color no less and I already had everything so didnt even have to go to the store, and hey something to do with the turkey feathers I got from the neighbor at Thanksgiving.
