The embelishments are from Recollections at Michaels, ribbon is Celebrate-it also at Michaels.

Candy Dish

I found several tutorials for these on Pinterest and youtube and thought how stinkin cute are they....

Matreials=1 4inch clay pot, 1 4inch clay sauser, 1 fish or floral bowl from the dollar store, 1 wooden dresser pull, E6ooo adhesive, a piece of vinyl, an 18in piece of ribbon, paint in any color you want

Clean pot & sauser use E6000 to adhear drawer pull to bottom of sauser allow to dry. Paint pot and sauser in chosen color, allow to dry, adhear glass bowl to bottom of clay pot with E6000 again allow to dry. Cut words from vinyl on your cutter I use the Pazzles Inspiration (the best cutter in the world). I chose to cut the word candy because I'm putting candy in them for a craft fair but how cut would these look in the bathroom with cottonballs and Q-tips in them. Apply vinyl words to clay pot and add ribbon to tie a bow. Put on lid and your all done. How stinkin cute!

Dollarstore Hurricanes

I took this Dollarstore Idea from 320 Sycamore heres her post... http://www.320sycamoreblog.com/2009/11/dollar-store-version-of-ws-glass.html
and made it my own with a little etching and a few simple changes, I totally love it and I can change out the ribbons to make it work for any holiday, right now its all dressed up for ThanksGiving.

Heres what I changed...
I used E6000 instead of hotglue.
I used batterie candles as I have cats and I covered them in matching ribbon.
I etched our monogram Like in the original.
I used potpouri instead of leaves so it also smells good.

Court Of Honor Banner

It is my privilage to host the annual Boy Scout campfire and Court of honor this year for our troop 514. So I made a banner using my pazzles inspiration. All the card stock is American Crafts and my inspiration for the banner is the topnote die from Stampin up, I also made a reversable banner last year for the holidays using the same file you can see it here... http://auntiemargsblog.blogspot.com/2010/11/my-banner.html

I am very happy how it turned out.

Etched Beer Mugs

These are the beer mugs I told everyone at the retreat about, I am making them for my hubbies guys at work, its the logo for the company they work at.
First I got these beer mugs at the dollar store (awesome right) they are not the type of glass you would usly see at the dollarstore so I bought them all, twice.

I still can't get over how nice and heavy they are, Clean them up remove all lables.

Design your stencil in your prefered software I used the inspiration pro....love it. Make sure you add a square around you design for proper placement on the glass and as not to get etching cream all over the glass. (Tip) use a font that conects all the little small inside pieces of your letters it will save you alot of headaches later.

I made my stencil out of contact paper or some people call it shelfpaper much cheeper than vinyl, I didnt even use a whole roll for all my mugs and a roll was 5 bucks at home depot.

Cut your stencil on the Best Machine in the world Pazzles Inspiration. Ok I guess you could use other machines but not in my house.

Now heres the trick remove all the positive pieces and leave just the negitive outline.

Like this.

Then add your stencil to your mug, some people use transfer tape I don't, I just find it easier. Carefully rub your fingers around every part of your design to make sure you do not have places for you etching cream to sneek under the stencil, because it will.

Dab Armour Etch or what ever etching cream you choose on the exposed glass making sure to keep it within you stencil area.

Wait the alotted time on your etching cream, mine was 5 minutes, then brush of excess cream and return it to the bottle as you can reuse it.

Wash off mug with warm water rubbing to make sure you got all the etching cream off.

Remove your stencil and wash again, dry and enjoy your beautiful work.

Vacation Update

It's day 5 of our Yellowstone vacation and boy have we seen alot, waterfalls and mountians and wildlife, we seen geysers and hot spring and boiling mud we have seen sulfer pots and lakes and more wildlife. Sofar we have been to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and we have stayed in 4 different hotels all on our way to the pazzles retreat. The weather was kinda suckie at the tetons so we couldn't see the top of the mountians which was dissapointing I really wanted my son to see them but we still had a good time.
I have a few video snippits for you however I think it's going to take to long to upload on my netbook so I'll wait till we get home for those but here are a few pictures and I'll add more in a few days, ok we are off to Glacier Park.
